About the barber
Built on craft,
driven by discomfort.
My name is Rafi Ismail — and for the past four years, the barbershop has been my classroom. What started as a self-taught obsession turned into a relentless pursuit of mastery, taking me across the country to train under some of the biggest educators in North America. Every city, every mentor, every technique added a new layer to what I bring behind the chair.
Opening 786 Barberstudio as a solo suite wasn't the easy move — it was the intentional one. I stepped into a space where I'd be pushed to grow, where every client interaction would demand more from me. No shortcuts. No coasting. Just the work.
The name 786 comes from the Abjad numerological value of Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim — “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.” It's the intention behind everything here. Every cut is personal. Every client walks out knowing they were taken care of.
This isn't just a barbershop. It's a studio built on purpose, precision, and the belief that the best version of your craft lives just outside your comfort zone.
